Epoxy - Polyaspartic Hybrid
Our Standard System for Resinous Garage Coatings is a premium solution that delivers both function and style. This decorative single broadcast chip system creates a seamless finish that is highly durable and resistant to moisture vapor transmission up to 12 pounds per 1,000 square feet in 24 hours per ASTM F1869. The base system includes a basecoat, ¼” vinyl chip broadcast, and topcoat, which collectively produce a nominal thickness of over 50 mils. Upgrade your garage today with our Standard System!
Installation Steps

PREP WORK: BARE CONCRETE: Diamond Grind or Shotblast concrete substrate to a CSP - 3 or greater. PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES: Clean surface to prevent any contaminants from being spread/redistributed to a greater area being prepared. Thoroughly grind the surface with 30 grit metal diamonds to completely remove any grout or topcoats that are not epoxy based and provide proper surface profile required for adhesion of the system.

BASE COAT: 100% Solids Pigmented Epoxy applied at a wet / dry film thickness of 16 mils. Coverage rate of 100 sq. ft./gal.

BROADCAST: Decorative Chip of customers choice, installed at +- 6 sq. ft. / lb. or 240 sq. ft. per 40 lb box.

TOPCOAT: Polyaspartic applied at a wet / dry film thickness of 9-14 mills. Coverage rate of 100 - 160 sq. ft. / gal.

Controls Moisture Vapor Transmission up to 12 lbs. on a calcium chloride test per the current ASTM F1869 standard. You're getting a mid-level moisture vapor protection for no additional cost! Our competition typically only protects to 3 lbs of moisture Vapor Transmission. Moisture vapor transmission is generally the cause of system failures from blistering. Note: If moisture issues are beyond the 12 lbs. a standalone vapor mitigation primer may be required.
